How to request access
- Complete the prescribed request form for a private body (Form 2 under the PAIA Regulations, available from the Information Regulator's website).
- Send it to our Information Officer at venom@venomracing.co.za or deliver it to our workshop.
- Identify the record, the form of access you want, and the right you are trying to exercise or protect.
- Pay any prescribed request and access fees when asked. We will tell you what applies before any cost is incurred.
We will decide on your request within 30 days, which may be extended once by up to 30 days where the Act allows, and tell you the reason.
Grounds for refusal
PAIA requires or allows us to refuse access in certain cases, including to protect another person's privacy, commercial information of a third party or of Venom Racing, confidential information, the safety of individuals and property, and records privileged from production in legal proceedings. If we refuse, we will give you our reasons.
If you are unhappy with a decision
You may complain to the Information Regulator within 180 days of our decision, or apply to court for relief.
Personal information
If the record you want is your own personal information, you can also use the simpler process on our POPIA Compliance page.
